King Silk Art creates 100% hand-stitched silk embroidery artwork. A talented silk embroidery artist spent nearly a year stitching this gorgeous wall art. This embroidery is a completely natural form of art. No glues, paint or machinery, just silk, vegetable dyes and a needle. This unique style of silk embroidery artwork was created in Suzhou, China nearly 2200 year ago to meet the needs of the royal families. Compared to prints and paintings, silk artwork has a nearly 3D look. And silk artwork is more valuable, as it is handmade, each piece is one of a kind.

Customer comments and our story

The silk stitches of this wolf's fur shimmer amazingly under the light, creating one of our most popular designs. With more than ten layers of stitches and using only 1/16 of a strand of silk thread, the level of detail in this winter scene is riveting. The fully stitched background provides the perfect setting for this wolf, and the intensity of his eyes is unmistakable. The Eurasian Wolf is also known as the Forest Wolf has a very wide range, from Scandinavia to China. Eurasian wolves tend to be smaller than North American wolves and are much more adaptable to changing environments. In Chinese symbolism, wolves have great esteem as guardians. In myths, wolves protect the palaces of heaven from all threats.

We just finished installing our new fireplace, my wife and I knew we needed something special on the wall above the fireplace. We were at the New York State Fair and seen this amazing picture, did not buy it, but knew in the back of our heads we should have. Several weeks later we were at the New England States Exposition (The Big E) and seen the same people with the same picture. We wasted no time, bought the picture without wasting another minute. We purchased this picture before we even started the project knowing "this is the one".  As you can see how nice it works with the stone and the overall flavor of the room. It is the show piece of our house.

Thanks again.
