Customer Comments and Our Story

A native to the mountains of South and Central Asia, our shimmering snow leopard is full of not only expression and intensity but also has astonishing color, texture and dimension. Our silk artists have created a singular portrait, using only 1/16 of a single strand of silk thread and a tight parallel stitch to create the detail of the leopard. In addition, the background is full of texture, created with a series of multi-layered random stitches, exquisitely setting off the resolution of the leopard. In Chinese symbology, the leopard represents a valiant and hardy warrior. Many different schools of martial arts celebrate the Five Noble Strengths, which are five different animal forms that students must master, representing specific attributes, wisdom is the attribute represented by the leopard.
