This is not a painting! This is not tapestry! King Silk Art creates 100% hand-stitched silk embroidery artwork. A talented silk embroidery artist spent nearly a year stitching this gorgeous wall art. This embroidery is a completely natural form of art. No glues, paint or machinery, just silk, vegetable dyes and a needle. This unique style of silk embroidery artwork was created in Suzhou, China nearly 2200 year ago to meet the needs of the royal families. Compared to prints and paintings, silk artwork has a nearly 3D look. And silk artwork is more valuable, as it is handmade, each piece is one of a kind.

Suzhou Silk Art Creation Process

Forest's 21st Century Silk Road

This charming scene absolutely glows with light, color and definition. The sisters are full of detail, depth and expression. Our three sisters are enjoying a sunny day in their porcelain shop, serene and content. The expert craftsmanship of our silk artists is evident, using only 1/16 of a single strand of silk thread with tight parallel stitches to create definition and random stitches to build color and texture, with more than 10 layers of individual stitches to create a masterpiece. Our Susho? is an example of a popular movement in Chinese contemporary art. Certain modern Chinese artists study and employ Western artistic styles and techniques such as realism and impressionism, but paint traditional Chinese subjects and themes. This exquisite portrait is a fantastic meld of the ancient techniques employed by our silk artists and our ability to adapt those techniques to modern themes.

This is one of my favorite works of art and the embroidery is beautiful. Colors are very bright and nicely done. Will probably buy the other pieces in the grouping.
