This is not a painting! This is not tapestry! King Silk Art creates 100% hand-stitched silk embroidery artwork. A talented silk embroidery artist spent nearly a year stitching this gorgeous wall art. This embroidery is a completely natural form of art. No glues, paint or machinery, just silk, vegetable dyes and a needle. This unique style of silk embroidery artwork was created in Suzhou, China nearly 2200 year ago to meet the needs of the royal families. Compared to prints and paintings, silk artwork has a nearly 3D look. And silk artwork is more valuable, as it is handmade, each piece is one of a kind.

 John Dailey discusses stiching techniques.

New Collectors discovering Susho.

This inspiration for this Silk Artwork was a 1913 oil painting, by Austrian Art Nouveau icon Gustave Klimt (1862-1918). The original painting hangs in the Narodni Galerie in Prague. Silk is the perfect medium to recreate the shimmering color of the original painting. The sheen of the silk radiates under light evoking the three-dimensional intricacy of Klimt's work.

    Perfect for my office

I was worried about buying art on the internet without seeing it first, but the return policy made me decide to take a chance. I'm glad I did, this is really a great piece, the colors are incredibly vivid, it was love at first sight.
