Suzhou Silk Art Creation Process
Customer comments and our story
This vibrant procession absolutely radiates with pure silk color. These aristocratic ladies from the Tang Dynasty shimmer under the moonlight in pure silk thread. We know these ladies are from the Tang Dynasty, due to the dots on their foreheads. For a number of years after a visit from Marco Polo and his crew, Third-Eye Dots were a popular fashion accessory for the stylish. This brief fad happened during the Tang Dynasty. The expert craftsmanship of our silk artists is evident in this portrait, using only 1/16 of a single strand of silk thread with tight parallel stitches to create definition, detail and resolution. Every flower, willow leaf and bauble is bright, colorful and distinct.
