This is not a painting! This is not tapestry! King Silk Art creates 100% hand-stitched silk embroidery artwork. A talented silk embroidery artist spent nearly a year stitching this gorgeous wall art. This embroidery is a completely natural form of art. No glues, paint or machinery, just silk, vegetable dyes and a needle. This unique style of silk embroidery artwork was created in Suzhou, China nearly 2200 year ago to meet the needs of the royal families. Compared to prints and paintings, silk artwork has a nearly 3D look. And silk artwork is more valuable, as it is handmade, each piece is one of a kind.

An excellent housewarming or hostess gift. The ??Lucky Fish?? are a literal blessing to any home. The lotus blossom and leaves at the center symbolize prosperity. Red koi fish are especially lucky. The twelve koi fish represent different years on the Chinese calendar. Symbolically, as the sun moves around the horizon during the day and strikes each fish, the good luck and benefits from the fish??s year will flow into the home. In addition, the fish make a perfect circle, symbolic of endless fortune, family unity and teamwork.

Here are some pictures I took of the Su Zhou Garden Silk Art we purchased at the 2011 Colorado Home and Garden Show. We had just recently finished our basement and wanted something special when you went down the stairs so you did not feel like you were going down into a cave but to a "Lower Level" of our home. When my husband and I found your booth we both knew we had found what we had been looking for! The Su Zhou Garden picture makes you feel as if you are looking outside a window. We both love our silk embroidery art and the custom frame and matting it came with is very nice! It is a beautiful addition to our art collection.
